1. Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Auto Captions Generator Pro ("the Extension," "the Software," or "the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Extension.

2. License Grant

2.1 Free Version

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the free version of Auto Captions Generator Pro for personal or commercial use, subject to the following limitations:

• Maximum of 5 caption exports per month
• Access to basic animation presets only
• English language support only
• No priority support

2.2 Pro Version

Upon purchase of the Pro version, we grant you a perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Auto Captions Generator Pro Pro with the following benefits:

• Unlimited caption exports
• Access to all premium animation presets
• Support for 100+ languages
• Priority customer support
• Commercial use license
• Lifetime updates

3. Permitted Use

You may use Auto Captions Generator Pro to:

• Generate captions for your video and audio projects
• Create content for personal or commercial purposes (Pro version required for commercial use)
• Use the generated captions in client projects (Pro version only)
• Install the Extension on computers you personally own or operate

4. Prohibited Use

You may NOT:

• Share, distribute, or resell your license to others
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Extension
• Remove or modify any copyright notices or branding
• Use the Extension for illegal purposes or to create harmful content
• Claim ownership of the Extension or its source code
• Use the Extension to process content that violates others' intellectual property rights

5. Payment and Refunds

5.1 Payment

Pro version purchases are processed through Gumroad. All prices are listed in USD and are subject to change with notice.

5.2 Refund Policy

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee for the Pro version. If you're not satisfied with your purchase within 30 days, contact us for a full refund. After 30 days, all sales are final.

5.3 No Subscription

Auto Captions Generator Pro Pro is a one-time purchase with lifetime access. There are no recurring subscription fees.

6. Updates and Support

6.1 Software Updates

Pro users receive all future updates at no additional cost. We reserve the right to modify, update, or discontinue features at our discretion, but will maintain core functionality.

6.2 Customer Support

• Free Version: Community support via email (response within 5-7 business days)
• Pro Version: Priority support via email (response within 24-48 hours)

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 Our Rights

Auto Captions Generator Pro, including all code, design, branding, and documentation, is owned by us and protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. Your license does not grant you ownership of the Extension.

7.2 Your Content

You retain all rights to the content you process with Auto Captions Generator Pro. We do not claim any ownership of your videos, audio files, or generated captions. Since the Extension works offline, we never access your content.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE EXTENSION IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT:

• The Extension will be error-free or uninterrupted
• Caption accuracy will be 100% perfect (though we strive for high accuracy)
• The Extension will meet your specific requirements
• The Extension will be compatible with all future versions of Adobe After Effects

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Pro license
• We are not responsible for data loss, project corruption, or production delays
• You use the Extension at your own risk

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

• Your use of the Extension
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights
• Content you create using the Extension

11. Third-Party Components

Auto Captions Generator Pro uses third-party open-source components and AI models. These components are subject to their own licenses, which are included with the Extension. We do not claim ownership of these third-party components.

12. Compatibility

Auto Captions Generator Pro is designed for Adobe After Effects. We strive to maintain compatibility with current and future versions of After Effects, but cannot guarantee compatibility with all versions. Currently supported:

• Adobe After Effects CC 2020 and later
• macOS 10.15+ and Windows 10/11

13. Privacy

Your use of Auto Captions Generator Pro is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Please review it to understand how we handle your information.

14. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your license if you:

• Violate these Terms
• Use the Extension for illegal purposes
• Share or distribute your license

Upon termination, you must immediately cease using the Extension and delete all copies.

15. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by:

• Updating the "Last Updated" date
• Sending an email notification (if applicable)
• Displaying a notice in the Extension

Continued use of the Extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable international laws. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law.

17. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
